Devils advocate... That all makes sense... but avoiding one part of the equation that most photographers forget... Time.... (Number of hours trying to solve this problem) x (hourly rate) = (is this less than the cost of a new computer?) I value my time away from the computer .. however I spend it ..

The bottom line... If its on the wire .. if its a press image... and it was released to the press... it has to obey certain rules... rules which I sincerely hope every contributor to the live news feed knows inside out... This text from Associated Press .. See link: https://www.ap.org/about/news-values-and-principles/telling-the-story/visuals?fbclid=IwAR2eszIlEIctJx7K43YRdJaQckwV82rdOgPK4NVeEtYu831fHYiC5mjbtDk Furthermore... the BPPA have put out a statement.. https://thebppa.com/content/uploads/240311-statement_from_the_bppa.pdf?fbclid=IwAR2eszIlEIctJx7K43YRdJaQckwV82rdOgPK4NVeEtYu831fHYiC5mjbtDk We live in a free country (unlike some of the people posting above) and are lucky to do so.. One of the cornerstones of that freedom is the freedom of our press. I know the UK press has many issues but the authencity of images published within is not one of them. IF (and its a big IF) our future heads of state decided to mislead the public by issuing a doctored image, it could be read as the thin edge of the wedge on press freedom reporting on the heads of state (as wedge that has already been inserted in other ways....)

is there a market for black and white pictures?
Julie Edwards replied to chrblack's question in Community support: ask the forum
I do sell black and white work to papers and magazines but not via this place and they are mostly portraits or well known people. There are plenty of black and white on this site. That said. I think you have answered your own question - you said your publishing was on art websites. This is not an art stock site. The target market here is mostly books, (informational) magazines and news. If your work does not target that sort of market then it is unlikely to sell here -

I run a M2 Mac Studio with a BENQ (Their equivalent of the Ezio top end). I can honestly say its the best, most accurate monitor I have ever used.. New Fuji X100VI announced

The colour layout means there is no anti-aliasing filter in front of the sensor = "sharper" ... in theory ... The only way to know for sure would be to put a bayer in the same body. I always found, back in the day, that my X-Pro1 was sharper than my original x100... -

Views and Zooms have dropped to near zero
Julie Edwards replied to mwakeling's question in Community support: ask the forum
My assumption is not that the ranking and reporting system has changed or failed. It's that PA owned images (from PAmedia owned agencies) are now placed with a higher ranking than non-owned images and therefore all freelancers will see reduced results.. which makes 100% financial sense and makes the business case for the purchase
