That’s weird. I was there last summer, unaware of such law and brought all my equipment, 2 DSLRs, 2 telephoto lenses, tilt-shift lens, wide angle lens, normal zoom lens and a video camera. I didn’t get stopped anywhere from shooting. I walked with my video camera shooting on the streets and no one has said anything to me. Antiquity sites had a sign to pay extra for taking photos with anything other than a phone, and I paid few times and other times I just declined and could go and see the site with all my equipment with me. In Alexandria in catacombs I had to leave my my backpack with the security guard. They put it in a locker and gave me a key. I was in Egypt for 5 weeks including Sinai Peninsula and haven’t encounter any issues, so I find this whole article surprising.

I'm curious if anyone has any idea why subjects that appear on the Picture Needs list don't appear in Alamy Measures for the past year? If there was such a need I would think you would see that someone searched for that subject. Do I misunderstand this? Or do Picture Needs come from somewhere else?

thanks all. It's kind of odd that all you need to do is tick a box. I would expect a submit button. I mean, I can tick and untick a box in a matter of split seconds. This can't be triggering anything.

How does one let Alamy know that they covered a particular picture need that was listed on their "Picture Needs" list? Clicking the box "I've covered this pic need" doesn't actually submit anything to Alamy, and there is no "submit" button. So how does it work? Thanks!

I was in the same boat until today. My cleared balance just doubled by what it was for about a month and a sale (first one of the month) just dropped in. Also, myclicks were sitting at 0 (which is very unusual) but updated as well. Perhaps things are really delayed and not everyone gets updated at the same time. Hopefully your turn will come soon.

Yes! I'm not even getting payment this month, because my cleared balance is not over $50. I don't remember the last time this happened. I've gotten paid every month for the past several years.

Has anyone outside of UK used the new website to file their claim? I'm stuck on the "Tax Status" page. It's insisting on submitting a Tax Certification form. I don't have such thing and can't proceed. Has anyone else run into this issue?

No they didn't decline it. This is what they said "If you’d like us to look into this in further detail, please fill in all the details on the ‘Unauthorised Use Form’ you’ll find on your contributor dashboard."

I just heard back from Alamy that they don't have any relevant downloads or licenses relating to this use. Should I ask Alamy to purées the license fee or is it better to go with Pixsy?
