I started the survey but quit, reasons: - they want information about competing agencies I deliver to (how alamy compares with regard to number of sales/revunue/earning per image). Thats nothing I want to share. - I dont expect any changes based on this survey. One major change thats requested by contributors - and market standard - is not to give hi res images for 10 $. All major agencies I know sell in different sizes, the Alamy model invites for abuse, de-motivating. - they ask for information they have (if I answer correctly with my email adresss used for communication): how long I'm with Alamy, upload frequency, commission model. Its an easy task for a database anaylist, first year on school, to combine this information. More precise than based on contributors memory. But main reason is the 2. one.

I'm fine with LR, they add new features on a regular basis (extended masking), and search/admin functions are usefull. I buy it when on sale, in Germany often for 75-80 Eur. You can buy and extend the duration of your existing period. Not sure how many years in advance you can buy, but buying twice a year worked well.

I'm pretty sure it existed earlier. When I did BHZ searches I used this feature to skip the first 10-15 pages. Noticed the feature was gone in summer, back now.

Two refunds for files bought in October, sold again for same price, means net sales = 0. Little DACS payment.

Today I see an additional 7. line, search term [LU], otherwise blank search term. Causes surely a lower CTR.

Today my zooms, usually 20-40 per day, showed an upside change of ~ 800 over some days ago. Couldnt be, a click on the details showed 6 lines with empty search term, with 1oo views each. Had this only with my main pseudo - will drop a mail to contributor service. If you are happy with rising zoom numbers .... may not be as it looks at first glance.

3 sales for 29$ gross. I sell via another macro agency, by coincidence similar result, 3 sales for 10 Eur net. I hesitate to calculate earnings per hour just for keywording and uploading. I didnt find an earlier thread of an Alamy photographer making a lot of money ..... selling his gear. Might be a good time as inflation lets hardware prices rise.

I now joined the lucky club selling for (rounded) zero $ - .23 $. I asked contributor service, received a quick reply same day: sale to China. But CS noticed as well that I had opted out on China, asked when I opted out. I assume I never opted in as I had similar experiences some years ago, - prices like this are a no go (note: I had a couple of nice sales by distribution in Europe) Setting a minimum price shouldnt be too complicated, even for distribution. And where Alamy lags behind as we all know: let sales price depend on image size. No need to give HighRes away for 10$, invite for misuse.
