They take 60% plus of our commission and can't fix their website. I'd fire my IT staff. (I do IT, and trust me, I'd be fired by now. And deservedly so.)
In Alamy Measures, when looking at the list of search terms for my (only) Pseudonym, the list comes up sorted by "Your Zooms" however if I click to sort on ANY of the other columns, I get the screen, "Sorry, we've encountered an unexpected error." I've been seeing this for MONTHS now, and it occurs with any browser (I use Firefox but I have tried it on Chrome and Edge as well) and on any computer.
Is anyone else seeing this?
Thanks.
This hobby isn't exactly paying either. Not since the new owners took over Alamy anyway. This morning my account balance and sales history aren't working either. It's like a slow implosion.
Agreed. If I was doing this for a living and not just to pay for my Photoshop subscription and website hosting (which it barely does these days) I'd have been gone long ago. Looking at my stats is just depressing. I got into ham radio recently. It's a much more rewarding hobby. - KQ4CM
My experience with LowePro: Bought a LowePro bag when I first started shooting seriously. Used the bag for about 10 years and the strap was starting to wear. (After 10 years. How dare it, right?) I emailed them telling them how much I liked the bag and asked about ordering a new strap. I got a reply, "What's your mailing address." I replied, and asked if they wanted my credit card number. "No. We'll just send you a new strap." This is how you win over customers. 🙂
I'm seeing this too. I've had 0 click-thrus for April, May, and so far none this month either. This is after having a rather above-average month in March. Something changed.
My best year was in 2018. In spite of having 50% more images uploaded than I did then, my sales have dropped each year since. I've had 0 sales so far this year.
